Terms of Use

These terms are between you and Foxtide LLC. By using Tempo you agree to them. They work alongside Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), which also applies to your use of the app. If the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent the Standard EULA allows.

Wellness guidance, not medical advice

Tempo and Remi give general fitness and wellness guidance. They are not a medical device and do not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Nothing in the app replaces advice from a doctor, physiotherapist or other qualified clinician.

  • Talk to a clinician before starting or changing a training program, especially if you have a health condition.
  • If you have chest pain, faint, have trouble breathing or feel unwell while running, stop and seek medical care right away.
  • Pain that persists or gets worse is a reason to see a clinician, whatever the app suggests.
  • You’re responsible for running safely — including your route, surroundings, weather and traffic.

Remi, the AI coach

Remi is an AI model. Its replies are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. Training numbers and plan changes come from Tempo’s coaching engine, which applies safety rules, but please use your own judgment. Use Remi for running, training and recovery — not for anything unlawful or harmful, and not to try to get around the app’s safety features.

Tempo Premium

Tempo Premium unlocks Remi and the full coaching features. It’s available as:

  • an annual auto-renewing subscription, which starts with a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers; or
  • a monthly auto-renewing subscription.

The price for each option is shown in the app before you buy.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the same length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Manage or cancel any time in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • If you cancel during the free trial, you won’t be charged. Any unused part of a free trial ends if you buy a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Remi’s monthly message allowance

Tempo Premium includes 100 messages to Remi each calendar month. The allowance resets at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of each month, and unused messages don’t roll over. When Remi proposes a plan change and reports back the result, that follow-up doesn’t count as an extra message. We may change the allowance; if we lower it, we’ll tell you in the app before the change applies. We may also briefly limit very rapid messaging to keep the service working for everyone.

Our Privacy Policy explains what Tempo reads, where it’s stored, and what is sent when you chat with Remi.

The app and these terms

  • We license the app to you for personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and the Standard EULA. Don’t copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app or its service.
  • We work to keep Tempo available and accurate but provide it “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for injury resulting from training decisions you make. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.
  • We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app before it applies.
  • We may suspend access to Remi for misuse of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
